After a wonderful first day visiting Dublin, Cong and Galway, our Paddy Wagon Tour got up early to set off for the Cliffs of Moher. We cruised down the west coast along the shore. We made a pit stop at The Burren.
Then it was off to the Cliffs where there were plenty of photo ops.
They say at any given time you can see at least five shades of green in Ireland. I think that’s a very true statement.
After visiting the Cliffs of Moher, we stopped at this wishing well on the side of the road in Clare.
Legend has it, if you toss a coin over your left shoulder and it goes into the well, your wish will come true. Although it was almost 10 years ago, I still remember standing up there on that rock. I won’t tell you my wish but I believe it came true. This is a memory that I hold very near to my heart.
Here are a few more pictures of the Irish countryside as we made our way to Killarney.
After a day of touring, we found ourselves a pub and hunkered down! This time, with a lighter beer.
(Side note, this tour was taken in October of 2003. I believe the Paddy Wagon stops have changed and they now go to Kerry or Dingle.) Next up, Blarney…
