My husband and I visited Charleston several years ago – actually before we were even husband and wife or even engaged! Having visited family up north for Thanksgiving, we decided to drive back to Florida and make stops in Charleston and Savannah.
We arrived in Charleston at night and checked into the Andrew Pinckney Inn. The hotel actually consists of two buildings. We stayed at the one across the street from the lobby.
Overall, the rooms were clean and spacious. It even had a rooftop terrace where you can eat breakfast or enjoy the sunset. I would highly recommend this hotel. Also, the location was perfect – just a block away from Meeting and Market Street.
We set out on a horse drawn carriage ride to see the gorgeous homes.
I think the neatest thing about a lot of these homes were that looking at them straight on, they look like little brownstones.
But then you round the corner and see this!
The homes just ooze southern charm!
We walked along the waterfront to admire the homes there and then spent time shopping and eating/drinking! We only had one day there but I felt like it was enough for us.
