My first trip abroad was during my sophomore year in high school with the French Club. My father took me down to the courthouse to get my passport! I was nervous to board that plane but I was with my friends and we were about to have an adventure!
Once we landed, we immediately met our tour guide and started exploring Paris. Our first stop was the Champs Elysee. This is one of the most famous streets in Paris. It’s known for it’s cafes and shopping. It also has the Arc de Triomphe.
We tored Notre Dame Cathedral.
The views from the roof were beautiful!
What’s a trip to Paris without a stop at the Eiffel Tower? In my Paris Part Deux, be sure to check out just how large it is from underneath.
The view from the top!
After two days in Paris, we took an overnight train to the French Riviera – Nice. It was a six bed compartment. I would splurge for an upgrade if I were to ever do it again!
Check out my second trip to Paris here.
