Indianapolis, Indiana

What a great city! Actually, it feels more like a big town. I’m sure locals would disagree with me but I felt it was easy to drive through. Yes, sometimes I gauge a city versus a town by the accessibility. Don’t judge.

We were visiting the town city for a wedding and only had a half day there so I apologize for the short post. This is all in preparation for my next post which is a stop-over in Nashville! We checked into The Canterbury Hotel. Unbeknownst to me, the Canterbury is no longer there. It was taken over by Le Méridien.

Anyway, it was in a great location. It was in walking distance to everything! Most of the guests were staying at the Marriott and they ended up taking a cab to the downtown. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was that it accepted pets. Typically we don’t like to travel with our dog- although he is quite the gentleman. But since this was a family wedding, no one could watch him. (Side note, he is blind and I won’t kennel him!)

Once we got settled, we hit the downtown.

After our walk, we were quite thirsty and stopped for a drink at Rock Bottom Brewery.

This was one of those cities where I thought to myself, “I could live here.” It was spacious, green and I felt safe. I wish we had more time to visit. If you have any recommendations on “Must stop” visits, please share!

In the meantime, enjoy this bit of cuteness…and read my next post on Nashville.
