Fancy a pint? Two words: PUB CLUB

As mentioned in other posts, I studied abroad in London during my junior year in college. My husband did as as well – just two years prior. We went back to our old stopping grounds in 2009 and my cheap economical husband found a great way to get free beer as well as BOGO lunch/dinner coupons. It took a lot of effort on his part so let me save you time.

Locate pubs around town close to where you are staying. Find their website online and see if they have clubs you can join. Once you sign up with an email address, they will send you a voucher for a free pint!

Things to consider:

• You receive one coupon per email. Don’t be one of those people who try to get as many coupons per one establishment. They WILL remember you. Plus, get out there and explore other parts of London. It’s a great reason to do your own pub crawl.
• Be very mindful of the expiration date. Some expire a week or two after it’s issued so, plan accordingly.
• Some clubs may ask for an address. Try your current one but if they are looking for a UK Postal code look one up and give it a try.

1) Choose a pub and click on Details. This will send you right to their website.

2) Look for a tab that says “Sign up for special offers” or “Enjoy a beer on us.” Something along those lines. If you don’t see anything, move on to the next pub. That one might not offer it.

3) Once you receive the coupon, print it out and take it with you. They want to see it. Below is an example of a coupon I just received.
