Madrid is fun day trip from Albuquerque via the Turquoise Trail. The views alone are worth the drive.

As you approach Madrid, you will start to question if this is really just a ghost town. The “houses” look like abandoned shacks.

But they are actually cafe,shops and restaurants!

After you’ve gotten your fill in Madrid, continue on the trail and head to Santa Fe!
