We experienced some excellent dining while living in South Florida. After a long day of shopping or entertaining my nieces or nephew, my husband and I would unwind over a delicious meal.
Here is a list of my favorite restaurants in Boca Raton.
Breakfast:
First Watch ($)
21170 St Andrews Blvd.
Boca Raton, FL 33433
There are healthy options…and not so healthy options on this large menu. Everyone will find something they enjoy!
Tom Sawyer Restaurant & Pastry Shop ($)
1759 NW Boca Raton Blvd
Boca Raton, FL 33432
Croissant French Toast. That’s all you need to know.
Lunch/Dinner:
Tucci’s Fire N’ Coal – Pizza ($$)
50 NE 1st Ave
Boca Raton, FL 33432
Oh this is some goooood pizza!! It comes out nice and crisp. They have the standard pies with any topping you wish but also specialty pies. Be sure to try the coal oven chicken wings too!! Wonderful.
Fah Asian Bistro – Sushi/Thai ($$)
7461 N Federal Hwy # B5
Boca Raton, FL 33487-1633
The sushi is always fresh and delicious.
Rocco’s Tacos – Mexican ($)
5250 Town Center Circle
Boca Raton, FL 33486
This is a just a fun restaurant. The decor is eclectic and it’s hard not to be in a good mood here. Try the guacamole. They prepare it table side.
Tomasso’s Pizza ($)
1229 West Palmetto Park
Boca Raton, FL 33486
Try the pizza with breaded eggplant! Mmm…it’s NY style pizza. This is primarily a take-out place – they may have one or two tables inside. It’s great to pick up a pie on a Friday night when you don’t want to cook!
Sushi Masa ($)
2240 NW 19th St #1201
Boca Raton, FL 33431
This is my all-time favorite sushi restaurant. It’s not high-end by any means but try the spicy crab roll. It’s nothing fancy but for some reason I just love it!
Seasons 52 ($$)
2300 NW Executive Center Dr,
Boca Raton, FL 33431
Everything on the menu is under 475 calories. The menu changes seasonally (hence the name of the restaurant). I love the shot glass desserts!
Abe and Louis – Steakhouse ($$$)
1229 West Palmetto Park
Boca Raton, FL 33486
There are many chain steakhouses in Boca – Mortons, Ruth’s Chris, etc – but this is no mainstream steakhouse. We still talk about the bone in filet and we haven’t lived in Florida since 2010.
Stir Crazy – Asian ($$)
6000 Glades Rd
Boca Raton, FL 33486
This is part of the Town Center Mall. It’s located in between Sears and Macy’s. There is an outside entrance so you don’t have to walk through the mall. My favorite is the Thai Curry Bowl. It’s no longer on the menu but they will still make it for you! You can also build your own plate.
Brewzzi – American ($$)
2222 Glades Rd
Boca Raton, FL 33486
This is a brewery with a delicious menu (both for food and beer!) The menu is quite large and I’ve never had a bad meal there.
Lemongrass Asian Bistro ($$)
101 Plz Real SE
Boca Raton, FL 33432
Standard Thai/Sushi restaurant. This is a chain throughout South Florida and I believe it made its way up north too.
Blue Martini ($$)
6000 Glades Rd
Boca Raton, FL 33432
This is also part of the Town Center Mall but has an outside entrance. It has a great happy hour menu with discount tapas.
Duffy’s Sports Bar ($)
21212 St Andrews Blvd
Boca Raton, FL 33433
This is a no frills location. It’s a sports bar though so what do you expect?! Meet up with some friends for happy hour and watch a game. I would be lying if I said I didn’t spend an entire day (or two!) there back in my prime.
Flanigan Guppy’s ($$)
45 S Federal Hwy
Boca Raton, FL 33432
This is a South Florida chain but it’s delicious. I love their ribs!
When we dined out we tried to hit the non-chain restaurants. Boca Raton is truly a melting pot of people and food! Take advantage of it and try something new. It’s hard to be disappointed.
If you have time, be sure to check out Delray Beach. It’s several miles north of Boca. It has delicious dining as well as fun things to do!
